18+ · EVIDENCE BEFORE THE CLICK
A companion can remember the last few messages, retrieve old facts, preserve a relationship history or let you explicitly edit what persists. We compare how leading adult-AI platforms implement memory - with evidence, not marketing.
More than a chat.
A memory that stays.
Different platforms document different strengths. Start here for the fast decision layer, then inspect the evidence.
Best for long conversations and complex continuity.
Evolving relationship memory over time.
Calls that can support later conversations.
You decide what to save or edit.
How much recent conversation remains active without retrieval.
Summaries and cascaded memory bridge current context and long-term recall.
Brings back older facts, events and preferences over time.
View, edit, delete or intentionally save memory.
Side-by-side comparison across the mechanisms that actually change the experience.

Test a new chat. Look for explicit recall after a second session.
See what the platform lets you view, edit or delete.
After a voice call, check whether context survives in text.
Some platforms reserve larger memory for higher tiers.
This is a documentation comparison, not a hands-on benchmark. The strongest evidence today is around architecture and controls, not subjective recall quality.
Kindroid documents short-term context, Cascaded Memory for medium-term continuity and enhanced long-term recall. Paid tiers increase context and memory capacity.
Nomi explicitly documents short, medium and long-term memory and exposes a Mind Map concept for viewing how memories connect.
Secrets documents a clear bridge from audio calls to persistent text: raw voice is transcribed in real time, audio is deleted, and the retained transcript can support later continuity.
Current tier documentation says Ultra adds the ability to save messages to memory on top of Pro features. That is useful evidence of a deliberate memory-control surface, but not enough to claim best-in-class recall quality.
Candy has strong current evidence for live calls, but LarkMetric does not yet have equally strong current public evidence for memory architecture or editable long-term memory controls.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kindroid | VerifiedPaid subscription documents longer context | VerifiedCascaded Memory | VerifiedEnhanced recall | PartialBackstory/key-memory controls documented; not every retrieval mechanism is user-editable | PartialCalls exist; this page does not claim transcript-to-memory mechanics |
| Nomi | VerifiedDocumented context | VerifiedDocumented continuity | VerifiedDocumented recall | PartialMind Map exposes one memory structure; full edit semantics not asserted here | PartialVoice calls use the companion model; exact persistence mechanics not asserted here |
| Secrets.ai | PartialDocumented continuity | PartialMemory system documented without LarkMetric benchmarking | VerifiedSaved memories and later recall documented | VerifiedView/delete memory controls documented | VerifiedCall transcript retained after raw audio deletion |
| Replika | PartialGeneral conversational context not quantified here | UnknownNo medium-term architecture claim here | PartialUltra adds save-messages-to-memory | PartialExplicit save surface documented | Needs reviewCalls exist; continuity mechanics not asserted here |

No hands-on memory benchmark is claimed here. The page compares what current provider documentation says exists. Product quality and retrieval accuracy require a separate test protocol.
Persistent memory can improve continuity while increasing the importance of deletion, retention and user-control evidence.
